A Morpeth-based business precision engineering company has secured a £174,000 grant from the Business Growth Fund. This funding will support Clifton Engineering’s ambitious expansion plans, enabling it to enhance its polyurethane moulding capacity and invest in new machines and cutting-edge technology.

Lant Medical has secured £500,000 investment from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, and two angel investors from the Northern Investor Hub to design a clinical trial for a promising new non-antibiotic treatment, designed to eradicate cancer-causing Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori).

An innovative new service designed to help UK business owners navigate the funding landscape in an increasingly challenging climate has been unveiled by specialist providers of business support, finance and funding, UMi.  

The Feel Good Families project, led by the Feel Good Factory CIC, received a £5,000 grant from UMi Community Fund to develop innovative and accessible services for families in Seaham.

UMi is thrilled to announce its successful accreditation as a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Appointed Representative, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing work to make it easier for businesses to access the best business grants, finance and investment.
