Showcasing excellence at the National Enterprise Network Annual Conference and Awards

November 24th was the National Enterprise Network’s Annual Conference and Awards, held at the Barclays headquarters in London.

The event, celebrating excellence in enterprise support, brought together teams from across the country to share best practices, hear inspiring stories, and recognise outstanding contributions in the enterprise support sector.

Simon Goon, UMi’s Chief Technology & Investment Officer, actively participated in the conference as a panellist in the 'Life after LEPS’ discussion. The panel revealed common ground among participants, fostering collaboration and shared insights.

This platform was also an opportunity for the audience to learn more about UMi's Sat Nav and its complementary role in publicly funded enterprise and business support.

Simon also hosted a breakout session, 'Maximising the impact of UKSPF', which gained significant interest, making it one of the best-attended sessions of the day.

Attendees had the opportunity to delve into UMi's successful handling of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The session explored UMi's experiences, particularly showcasing the Durham Business Growth Programme and highlighting their innovative partnership with Business Durham and RTC.

The day concluded with a networking session on the 30th floor, providing another chance for attending companies to foster valuable relationships.

Simon Goon, Chief Technology & Investment Officer at UMi said: “It was an honour to take such an active role in this year’s conference and awards.

“UMi's participation underscores its commitment to excellence and innovation in supporting small and micro businesses.

“The event served as a platform to share our experiences, collaborate with industry leaders, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the future of enterprise support.”
